High Strain Dynamic Pile Testing
High Strain Dynamic Pile Testing is a method to evaluate the load capacity of piles by striking them with a heavy hammer and measuring the resulting stress waves.
How It Works:
1. A hammer impacts the pile head, generating a stress wave.
2. Sensors (strain gauges & accelerometers) record force and velocity at the pile top.
3. The wave travels down the pile, reflecting from soil resistance or defects.
4. Data is analyzed using our softwares like the **PDAR** or **RCAPWAP**.
**Purpose:**
✔ Estimates dynamic load capacity.
✔ Checks for pile damage.
✔ Optimizes driving efficiency.
**Advantages Over Static Load Tests:**
✔ Faster– No need for large reaction frames.
✔ Real–Time Data – Immediate results during pile driving.
✔ Applicable to Long Piles – Works where static tests are impractical.
It’s widely used in construction to ensure foundation safety.
